Over a two year period, child-centred workshops have explored communication and expression through storytelling, connecting to physical environments, creative play and imagination using mixed media, drawing, movement, sound, to support wellbeing in young learners, and to support teachers in developing arts-based, ‘process-led’ learning approaches across curriculum activities.

Sonic Environments, Schools Workshops, Bow Arts Education, Waltham Forest London

Family Workshop, South London Gallery Sunday Spot

Inspired by South London Gallery’s unique building design and the surrounding architecture this drop-in workshop explores using bold shapes, construction and design. Families can create buildings out of cardboards, colourful tape and paper to house the body. They can play with light and shapes inspired by local buildings to create projections for the gallery wall. There is the option to explore shape and pattern in designing and drawing large-scale 2D buildings.

Zines and Stories Workshop, Schools, Bow Arts Education, Tower Hamlets, London
